One of my absolute favorite brands is turning 125 this year—and you know how big we do birthdays around here! There are few thriving clothing brands who can say they’ve had such a long run. It all started with adult overalls back in 1895. The first pair of kids overalls was produced in 1910, and OshKosh has since outfitted millions of kids all over the globe–including little five-year-old Shakira in 1992! This was my kindergarten school photo, and I can’t believe how much of my daughter Raegan I see in it!
My mama has always had a thing about quality. She has three daughters and each of us she dressed in OshKosh overalls, because they were stylish AND durable. There’s a reason they’ve been around for 125 years. The quality is phenomenal, and mamas know quality when they see it. My mama knew it, and so do I.
As a matter of fact, my mom saved quite a few OshKosh overalls and handed them down to me when I had Raegan. Below is a photo of her at age 2 wearing her mama’s OshKosh skirtall from 1989! Now Little Miss Zarie gets to wear it. The denim has withstood the test of time, and I bet you the girls will be able to pass these items down to their littles one day.
The sweet nostalgia lives in the seams. Shopping for my littles at OshKosh always takes me back to my own childhood. So many sweet memories live in those iconic front pockets.
I also love that overalls make it easy to have all three of my babes matching. I still can’t take how overwhelmingly adorable Xander looks in his tiny overalls. I am in love. Zarie asked him the other day what he was going to put in his tiny pockets haha.
OshKosh (then Grove Manufacturing Company) started producing adult overalls as practical workwear in 1895. To celebrate their 125th birthday, they are bringing back adult overalls for a limited time. They’re launching a vintage-inspired capsule collection for the whole family. The kids and I wore ours to our favorite apple orchard, and received so many kind compliments. YES!!! My uncle is a sculptor and actually used a pair of mine when I was a toddler in a piece of his. I’d love to have it.
I can remember being a new mom 35 years ago and one of the first and to be honest few pieces of clothes we purchased as new, young, and very broke parents were a pair of OshKosh denim overalls. We loved the quality and brand, however the fact we could get them within our price point made them even more appealing! 35 years And 9 children 5 grandchildren later OshKosh is still my favorite brand! The quality is unmatched and the price point still allows people from many different economic backgrounds to be able to afford good quality adorable clothes! Happy Birthday Oshkosh!

Oh gosh y’all are so cute! I sported Osh Kosh too! And I just bought some at a consignment sale here bec it lasts that well and holds some of that value! I can’t wait to get some cute overall styles on my kiddos this fall!

OshKosh overalls were my FAVORITE!! My mom always bought 2-3 pairs because I literally wore them everyday. I cant wait to introduce my kids to OshKosh Overalls. And you look so cute in yours, I think I’ll buy myself a pair. Some of my fondest memories and favorite pictures of me as a kid, I am wearing my overalls.
