Daddy Daughter Tea Time

There’s just something so special about that Daddy and Daughter bond. I remember the look in Mark’s eyes when he first saw Raegan, and to this day it can make my eyes well. Our daughters ADORE their Daddy and always love to document the sweetness of it all. I am sure I’ll need the reminder during their teenage years haha. In 2019 the girls planned a little tea party for their Daddy who had just gotten home from work.

If you don’t already follow along with us on Instagram, then you may not know that we are an active duty Military family. Mark is an Army Major, and military child life is all these little ladies know. It certainly give you an appreciation for presence in the little moments, from a very young age.

They dressed up in frilly skirts and bows and even little fur vests. I snapped some photos of the occasion, and decided to recreate the fun.

Seeing how much the girls have grown between the two sets of photos makes me feel so many emotions at once. I cannot believe how time has passed so quickly. People often say the days are long but the years are short. So so so true.

For this particular tea party, we pulled out the sweet little tea set that Zarie got this past Christmas. I folded up a pink satin tablecloth that we often use, and I set up the sweetest little cake stand of felt treats. Our gorgeous fringe backdrop is from Oh My Darling Party Co, and the color mix is just the stuff of my dreams. I love the pops of purple and iridescent fringe. I also got some purple heart foil balloons from Ellie and Piper Co. The paper plates are from Lucy Darling Co.

As a special extra, Mark decided to surprise the girl with roses. I tied a little ribbon and hand lettered tag (Chalk Designs by Me) to jazz them up, and you should have seen the smiles on these sweet girls’ faces.

They had a blast (as I totally peeked around the corner and stole photos) drinking (and spilling) tea and serving up platefuls of the most delicious pretend treats. Zarie said that all of the bakery goodies were from a patisserie in Paris. Thanks Liv and Mimi for making her little pretend pastry dreams come true.

I will literally NEVER grow tired of seeing my giant soldier husband in that tiny chair, sipping tea from the tiniest of tea cups. Best Dad Ever. Love you, honey.

  1. I absolutely love seeing Mark’s relationship with the girls: I can’t wait to watch Brad go from a boy dad of two to a boy dad of three plus a little princess. She already has him wrapped around her little finger.

  2. This is soo beautiful! Making the most of each other’s presence is soo important 🥰 and how fun and simple… they will cherish these photos forever!

  3. This is so precious. Now I need to set up a tea party for my girls and their daddy! Also, when we met you all at Disneyland Mark seemed like the sweetest guy ever! I’m sure he is just one of the best girl dads out there!
