Hey, friends! What a whirlwind the last couple of weeks have been! If you have been following along with us on Instagram, then you know we just embarked on a huge cross country PCS (permanent change of station) move to California. It has been weeks of literally exhaustion between saying our goodbyes, selling our home, moving ourselves (that’s right folks, we moved our entire family of 5 and household goods completely on our own), and setting up shop on a brand new coast. It was so nice to have found a beautiful home to fit our upon arrival. What made things even nicer was arriving to a thoughtful box of goodies from the Chinet® brand team.

When you’re coming off such a huge move and a 20 hour travel day, anything to make life run a bit smoother is so appreciated. It was wonderful to receive a few new decor items for our home, but the best part was all of the Chinet® Cut Crystal® and Classic WhiteTM products. The absolute last thing we felt like doing was wash a ton of dishes, and the items have been a lifesaver for us. We honestly didn’t have any of our dishes yet, even if we wanted to wash them! We are still in the thick of unpacking, and finding our way around a brand new place. The girls have been champs, but miss the familiarity of North Carolina–especially their friends and schoolmates.
As a way to get them involved in making our new house a home, we let them put together a virtual housewarming party. I told them we could make a list, do some shopping, and throw a little party right on our living room floor (still no couch over here). We would facetime in some familiar faces, and celebrate life together! Their party essentials list consisted of: fancy sparkling grape juice, pizza, donuts, balloons and confetti. Sounds good to me. The huge H-O-M-E balloons were Zarie’s idea. Raegan insisted we use our Chinet® Cut Crystal® cups to make our sparkling grape juice toast the absolute “fanciest” toast. I love how the Cut Crystal® line adds a bit of fancy to any occasion–big or small. Plus, clean up is a breeze! We had so much fun celebrating and catching up. The best part is that one of our very first family memories will be something our girls put together for us.
