Zarie is officially 9! Summerween was such a fun theme to put together for her party. Blending spooky Halloween elements with summer fun makes one unforgettable birthday. We encouraged our guests to come dressed in their costumes to keep the Halloween theme going. In the backyard we set up a bounce house with beach balls and giant spider webs for everyone to enjoy while our pumpkin and ghost cheeseburgers were on the grill.
Inside the kitchen, slushie station was a huge hit, We set up two slushie machines with different flavors, pumpkin cups, and cute straws. Tiny cauldrons full of little drink umbrellas made it easy for gusts to add a fun garnish to their drinks.
Zarie insisted on a creepy crawly candy salad, but we also had fruit salad with Halloween food picks, pasta salad, a veggie tray, and popcorn in adorable ghost treat boxes, and so much more!
One of my favorite parts of the party was the haunted house craft. The kids decorated their own wooden haunted houses using bright Halloween colors, ghosts, spiderwebs, and other little details to make their house unique.
I love adding an activity like this to a party because it gives kids the chance to make another fun memory and their finished haunted houses also double as a party favor they can take home afterward.
