Hey, friends! Spooky Szn is upon us, and I wanted to share how we are spoiling our favorite teachers this year. I know these kinds of gifts aren’t a necessity, but I love to show a little extra appreciation during the holidays, making them a little more magical for everyone. The kids are always excited to take in the spooky treats and we hope their teachers love them too!
I did a huge teacher poll on Instagram, and out of hundreds of responses the #1 favorite gift teachers loved was gift cards. I believe most of them really appreciate the flexibility of getting something they love. Target, Amazon, Starbucks or local restaurants were the most requested gift cards. Personalized gifts, handwritten notes and artwork were next on the list (although gift cards still dominated BY FAR). Things teachers said time and time again that they didn’t enjoy receiving: MUGS(this was the most popular answer, by far), candles, perfume/cosmetics, and handmade baked goods.
Mom Hack: I love gifting Starbucks gift cards, because they’re actually pretty versatile. If the educator doesn’t like coffee, they can get tea, a fun frappuccino, a quick snack/breakfast, or bakery item.
I am sharing a fun gift idea below, with the above considerations taken into account. I typically spend the majority of my budget on the gift card, and then I add in a little extra fun. All of the girls’ teachers love Target, so it was super easy to grab all of those at once. If you aren’t sure what their teachers like, send in this FREE teacher survey download.
I know a lot of us feel like gift cards lack sentiment, so it’s always fun to sprinkle a little bit of extra in there. I love that the skeleton containers used here are so easily reusable. I included an adorable “Teachers Make Magic” button, from the veteran-owned small shop The Ever Co., and some mini Halloween post-its, though you could easily fit the standard size.
