2022 Love Baskets

Hey, friends! The month of love is upon us, and I’m excited to share the love baskets I made for my daughters. So what exactly are Love Baskets? Baskets filled with seasonal items to spark some intentional memory making throughout the season. They are a fun little tradition we’ve been doing for the last couple of years. It’s a little way for me be playful with getting them excited about the upcoming holiday. You may recognize this tradition from the Boo Baskets that we create around Halloweentime. I love that it sparks some intentionality when it comes to making special memories for the season. Are they a necessity to have fun this February? Of course not. Do I love a little extra fun? Always.

There really aren’t any rules when it comes to these, but some of my favorite items to include are new pajamas, crafts, books and stuffed animals. I usually surprise the girls with them on February 1st, but these could easily be gifted on Valentine’s Day. A few of my favorite items from this year’s baskets are the personalized piñatas (our nicknames for them), and the Mickey and Minnie drawstring bags–so good for a trip to Disney and for everyday use. I will also never grow tired of snagging new books for the kids. If you follow us on Instagram then you know that the #OccasionsBookNook is full of great seasonal reads—find all of my favs here.

With Christmas having just passed, I try my best to make sure that the items I choose for these are intentional and items the kiddos can enjoy into the rest of the year as well. As a matter of fact, instead of actual baskets, I opted for these gorgeous glittery jewelry organizers that I found at my local HomeGoods. Our girls love to store little odds and ends (rocks, beads, notes, etc.) and I thought this would be the perfect way for them to store those tiny things in their rooms. The hand lettered tags are from one of my favorite small shops Chalk Designs by Me. That fun glittery banner on the wall is from Ellie and Piper Co. and the beautiful Valentine’s Day felt ball garland is from Pearl and Jane.

When it comes to Love Baskets, I typically get the girls many of the same items. I’ve listed the affiliate links below for everything I could source for you. You can also dive even deeper by checking out my Valentine’s Day highlight on Instagram.
