Family Game Night

Hey, friends! Fall is officially here and we are bringing all of our traditions to our new home here in Monterey. We might be trading in the falling leaves for crashing waves, but family time is as strong as ever. We;ve been getting back into the groove of Family Game Night, and I figured we would give you a peek inside how we do it.

I’ve partnered with Target to share my haul and all of the supplies I used to create a little family fun…okay and a few new pretty things for mama’s kitchen. That’s what I love about Target, whether it’s a new board game, kitchen items, or the best snacks, they’ve always got you covered. Their selection also strikes the perfect balance between affordability and high quality.

This post has been sponsored by Target. I make it a point to only collaborate with brands that I truly enjoy and love…and yall know how much I enjoy Target haha. All opinions are entirely my own.

Family game night happens on a Saturday or Sunday evening. We rotate who gets to choose the game, although we typically end up playing at least two. We also usually have dinner together as we play.Mark and I always think it’s fun to introduce the kids to all of the classic games we used to play when we were kids. This game night we went with Twister and Perfection

While at Target I snagged the prettiest Cotton Terry Kitchen Towels. I am all about snagging beautiful home items, but ones that are also functional. These towels have a beautiful design and fringe detail that I love; so they’re awesome for styling under my serveware…and they come in handy for cleanup as well.

If you follow me over on Instagram, then you already know how much I love creating food and treat boards for our family–just have a look at the #ShakiraGotBoard hashtag. I couldn’t leave the store without these two new coordinating boards. I cant choose a favorite–I love the handle on the traditional round board, but I’m excited to get creative with the rectangular board as well.

When it comes to dinner on Game Night, we keep it easy and fun with dips and small bites. Target’s Good and Gather brand is a favorite of ours, offering up a ton of flavorful and delish options. Most of which I just popped into the oven. I love having a ton of options, so that everyone has something they like, and we all have full bellies.

We had:

We ate, we laughed, and I may have almost thrown my back out in the middle of Twister haha. Good times though, and I love making Fall memories right in our living room.
