Hey, friends! Okay, so y’all know I love a good charcuterie or treat board. If you follow my #ShakiraGotBoard hashtag on Instagram, then you know it is an extra something I love to do for my little family. I created a fun cookie board to share with you all, and it was a BIG hit with the kids. I think it would be so much fun to create for your next Halloween gathering, or for a fun movie night at home. I’ll share all of the details and affiliate links below, plus a couple of alternative more budget friendly options.
The main rule for creating these types of things, is that THERE ARE NO RULES! Have fun with it. Pull from the things you already have in your pantry. Anything can be made silly and spooky with candy googley eyes, right? I keep them on hand even for lunchbox packing.
My kids love to decorate their own cookies, so I always either bake or buy just plain sugar cookies for them to create with. I included festive candies, pumpkin sugar cookies from the grocery store, store-bought frosting (that I warmed in the microwave to make it spreadable, and added orange food coloring to), cotton candy, sprinkles, marshmallows, and already decorated mummy cookies. Orange Oreos are also a favorite around here, I’ll add those in next time, for sure.
The spiderweb tablecloth that I shot this on is one that I’ve had for YEARS, but I did find a very similar runner here.
The stone ghost platter is a FAVORITE of mine. I have nicknamed him Lou haha, and I had been eyeing him for the last two years, but didn’t have it in my budget to snag him until this year. He is pricey but large, heavy and so so cute. You can snag him here. I also have the small ghost bowl from this collection, and he’s just as cute. I added two other really cute platter options below.
The cute ghost bowl and spreader set can be found HERE, and the mini cauldron HERE. That spooky little mini skeleton that the sprinkles are in was a dollar tree find! They came in a set of 5!
I hope that this gives you a little Inspo for making memories this Spooky Szn. Remember, as long as you kiddos have you, loving them, and being intentional, they’re going to have an amazing time. All the rest is just extra. If you have any questions, shoot me a message, and don’t forget to pin this for later!
