Hey, friends!
Our sweet Xander recently hit his big 6 month birthday, and we are going to be transitioning him from his Graco SnugRide® 35 Lite Elite Infant Car Seat to his new Graco SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 car seat. As a matter of fact, we are proud owners of three Graco SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 car seats.
This post has been sponsored by Graco Baby. I make it a point to only collaborate with brands that I truly enjoy and love. All opinions are entirely my own.
We seat Raegan, Zarie, and Xander three across in both my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Mark’s Chevy Silverado truck. When we decided to get pregnant with Xander, we knew we would need to figure out how to transition our vehicles, as our family grew. We went back and forth for weeks about if we should stick with our single back rows, or find something new with more space. So many of my girlfriends suggested minivans, and while I’m not going to knock them, they’re not the right fit for me. We actually visited a couple of car lots, and test drove some larger SUVs with third row options. We ultimately decided to stick with what we have, and there were two determining factors there: budget and practicality.
We love the freedom of not having monthly car payments, and purchasing a larger vehicle is a large financial investment. One we didn’t want to make if it wasn’t 100% necessary. If you give me the choice of saving/investing our money, or tying it into debt–I am always going to choose the former. We also figured that if it was practical to seat all of our children together safely–in a way that was comfortable, that we should give it a shot. While we are on the subject of practicality–we are going to be able to keep these seats forever. We will never need to add car seats into our budget again. The 3-in-1 car seats grow with our kids from rear-facing harness (5-40 lb) to forward-facing harness (22-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb).
The SlimFit3™ LX 3-in-1 Car Seats are incredible! They’re free of the bulk, while continuing with top notch safety. Graco ProtectPlus Engineered™ means a combination of the most rigorous crash tests that helps to protect your child in frontal, side, rear & rollover crashes. I trust Graco to take care of our precious cargo.
We have two long-legged girls, so it was important to me that they wouldn’t feel squished. Each seat is 16.7 inches wide and comfortable for all three children. The breathable mesh AirFlow channels provide improved ventilation to keep the kids cool, and we even have the option of double cup holders on each seat–BIG WIN!
If your family is growing, or even if you’re just looking to make your vehicle space work better for your family, consider the SlimFit3™ LX 3-in-1 Car Seats. There are several color options, and you can learn more about the key features at GracoBaby.com. I hope this post has made 1 of your many parental decisions a bit easier, and that you’re able to find the best fit for your family. If you have any questions, please leave them for me below.
