Pumpkin Carving + Mama’s Sausage Soup

My favorite season is here, friends! The weather has just started to cool down, and the crispness is one of the best things I believe nature has to offer. I’ve been looking forward to Fall and Halloween memory making all year long. We put on a pot of my sausage tomato soup, and headed out to the pumpkin patch! We came home, three pumpkins richer, and to a house that smelled no less than phenomenal. We set up shop on the back porch for a yummy Fall dinner, and pumpkin carving.

This post has been sponsored by the Chinet® brand. I make it a point to only collaborate with brands that I truly enjoy and love. All opinions are entirely my own.

If you haven’t eaten your favorite soup from a sourdough bread bowl, I highly suggesting picking some up from the bakery, next time. They were so delicious and our Chinet® Classic White™ plates were perfect for such a hearty meal. These durable plates were perfect at catching all of the inevitable soupy spills. I even served both our water and cheese/toppings in the Chinet® Cut Crystal® cups. Both of which freed my husband and I from dish duty.

It has been a hard year, to say the least. We are still in the middle of finding our rhythm when it comes to the girls in school, and beginning a new season that looks so different than it did last year. It is important, now more than ever, that Mark and I are intentional about how we spend our time. I can’t stand washing dishes. It is my least favorite chore, and I can’t tell you how good it felt knowing that we wouldn’t need to spend a ton of time on clean-up duty.

I loved getting to focus my attention on the sweet smiles of our kiddos, and on enjoying every drop of that yummy soup and bread. Thanks to the Chinet brand, clean-up took a few minutes, and then it was time to create jack-o-lanterns, and watch the magic come to life.

I encourage you to find the big moments within the small ones, friends. Figure out ways to make your family rhythm a bit easier. Cut down on clean-up, and hold tight to your people. For more inspiration, and ideas head HERE.

  1. I love this!! We are definitely going to recreate this week when we paint our pumpkins. I NEED sausage soup in a bread bowl and we already have the Chinet for our dinner and paint pallets! ☺️

  2. There’s nothing better than a hearty soup, and a sausage & tomato soup sounds amazing!!! This is definitely going into our recipie rounds.
